Lens calibration not working in 5.1

Hello, I can’t seem to get lens calibration to work in 5.1. It works fine in 5.0 but as soon as I update my project to 5.1. the lens file picker is gone from the live link component that I add onto the camera.

Is anyone here able to calibrate their lens we th 5.1?

There is a new plugin called camera calibration which you have to enable, then it’s going to show.
Then, there is a new component called lens, you can add it to the actor that have the live link controller. With it, you can assign the lens file.

Did you have any luck getting the lens file to work in 5.1? After discovering the lens plug in (an additional requirement in 5.1) - applying the lens file has no effect on the cinema camera - the filmback and focal length settings stay the same.

Has anyone been able to get a lens file to apply to a cinema camera in UE5.1?

Any luck with this? I just ran into this same issue. Worked fine in 5.0, added a lens component and applied the lens file again in 5.1 and it appears to not be respecting any of the incoming FIZ values (even though they appear to be updating on the lower left of the calibration window).

I tried it with 5.1 and 5.2 and still not working.

We’ve been having the same problem. Worked in 5.0, now getting error messages in 5.1 &5.2. Using link link to try to get FIZ data but it’s all yellow with no data received.

Do you have new infos about the camera lens calibration. The new feature seams to don’t work at all.

UNREAL 4.27 LENS DATA IS WORKING FINE

Any information how to fix it? I get “the tracked camera doesn not have a lens component…” message when I connect lens file to FIZ in UE 5.1

Just checked this thread as I couldn’t get the lens file to work in 5.2. I think I have it working now thanks to one of the comments above. I’ve checked it with an Aruco tag via the lens file software to get my world pose and it all seems to line up and objects stick to the floor. The set up seems to be slightly different to 4.27 (where I made the lens file initially) as you now add a specific ‘lens’ component to the cine camera rather than add a live link component. I still added a live link component to get the virtual camera (the FIZ data), so you end up with two live links (one for transform, one for FIZ) and then you also have a lens component where the lens file is applied.

This was tripping me up for months. I would add the Lens Component to my CineCameraActor then run through the calibration, only to have my nodal offset be completely off. I had finally realized that the Live Link Camera Role BP had transform and rotation checked by default. Once I disabled those my calibrations were bang on.
