I’m looking to make a physics object leash-able. By that, I mean having the ability to pull/push it (physics properties) and after no further force is applied, it’ll slowly return back to it’s original placement. Is there a way to potentially do this?

You can do this with a Physics Constraint. Once you have the 2 objects constrained, make sure the Linear ZMotion is set to Free and use the Linear Motor function under the Details panel to create a sping/wind-back effect.
