@Paarth Tara: Here’s a great place to get started:
Also starting this coming Monday, all topics in the Development Discussions will have an -updated- sticky called “Getting Started” with tutorial links for that topic, if available.
As far as the lagging issue you should start a new thread and include details about your project and system you are working on or post a question on the AnswerHub (see tab at the top of the page.)
OMG YES! I loved that game back in the day. Had no idea it was Epic Megagames. Even though this particular project seems to be on the backburner, someone should totally do this, or at least a spiritual successor. One Must Rise, anyone?
Such a shame this thread trailed off… judging by the interest it was a very souht after topic. I myself would be very interested in creating even a basic prototype of a fighting game, 2 chars on screen, camera, and basic movement. Anyone out there with the technical know-how to shed some light on this subject?
I’m still interested in this as well. With the death of the future of Marvel Vs Capcom series… I sort of want to pay homage and make something in the style.
Sad to say I believe the OP of this thread has been busy with other things but I’m waiting on KitatusStudios ebook and hope it shines some light on this game type.
The project my team is planning is a beat’em but this is just what we are looking for since the next game we are planning is a 2.5d fighter
I wanted to do something along the lines of the first Dragon Ball Z: Budokai cross with Tekken style mechanics ya know. So I’m looking forward to ideas and inputs from this forum.
