Lead Programmer for UDK Port - Remote

Lucky Pause is looking for Lead Blueprint Programmer to help us port a game from UDK. This is a remote contract position offering competitive pay.

After releasing Homesick Lucky Pause is looking for help finishing our UE4 version. Homesick was originally make in UDK using unrealscript and kismet and we are now bringing it to more platforms as well as VR by porting to UE4. We have already started but we need help! We are looking for someone to take over most of the programming continuing with a blueprint only approach. We use a perforce cloud server setup for working remotely.

Responsibilities:

Create blueprints to recreate and or improve on the original functionality of the UDK version of Homesick.

Takes into account both traditional platforms as well as VR functionality.

Work remotely but communicate regularly with progress and programming structure.

Create commented and readable blueprints that can be understood by others.

Setup the Menu and save game system.

Minimum qualifications:

Strong Blueprint skills

Strong programming organization / structuring ability

Must have a windows machine to be able to refer to the UDK Homesick version

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with UDK & Kismet

Perforce experience

Experience with VR

Experience with blueprint save games

I’m not sure I would be what you are looking for but I am good with blueprints. I have had around three years of experience. I am, however completely ignorant when it comes to virtual reality. Hey Barrett, what a blast from the past! Before switching over to UE4 we had 4-5 years experience with UDK and we have been using UE4 since the early beta and actually have been using it with VR since pretty much the same time so this sounds like an ideal project for us
