Layered Grid Material



I saw this grid in a devlog (Adding Guns to my FPS Game | Arcadian Rift Devlog #4 - YouTube) and tried to recreate it. Unfortunately, the video quality was not good enough to decipher all the nodes, so I ended up with some parts working, but not others.

Current Issues:

  • the 2nd grid (white grid texture) is much brighter than the other one
  • there are no area differences in how much the 2nd grid shows
  • the two grid textures for some reason have an offset

Any tips would be much appreciated!

Thx for your reply! Though bump offset creates a different effect to what I’m looking for. The material in question didn’t have an offset, just alternate behavior for each of the two grids.
