Layer Priority?

I feel like I’ve asked about this on this forum before, but I did a search and didn’t come up with anything, so here goes.

Basically, I’m trying set up the platform Blueprint I have in my project to allow the player character to remain visible at all times when they leap through a platform. Apparently this can be achieved through Layer Priority, at least that’s what I gathered from this video [ Around the 2:08 mark in case the time stamp in the link doesn’t work], which also showcases the effect that I’m trying to go for.

I tried searching for subjects relating to Layer Priority to try & find the effect I’m looking but, alas, I have come up empty-handed in my endeavors. I seem vaguely recall a form of Layer Priority that would allow for certain objects to remain visible as a silhouette while obscured by another object. This is somewhat along the lines of what I’m trying to achieve, but I want the entirety of the character to be visible at all times when jumping through a platform rather just a silhouette. Unfortunately though, I can’t seem to recall what that particular technique is referred to as.

Well, if anyone has any ideas on how I can achieve the effect I desire then I’m all ears!
