No matter what changes I make I can’t seem to get the Epic Games Launcher to work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with admin rights and reboots, I have changed the DNS to use google, I have checked that the application is allowed by my firewall and even tried without the firewall at all but nothing helps.

Found a work around. It seems the launcher that downloads via the Shadow Complex Remastered page is actually out of date and won’t connect to their servers. You have to force the executable to update…
Right-click the Epic Games Launcher shortcut/executable
Properties
Shortcut tab
In “target” put a space after the final quotation marks, then type -http=wininet
Apply and OK
Run the launcher again and it should bounce straight in to an update download and you’ll likely get a message at some point saying the launcher is out of date, do you want to fix. Click fix and all should be well.
