Launcher is 100% useless to me right now - All my content produces this error.

Summary

every time I click on anything in the launcher library I am getting this error. Can be Epic content or anything I own.

I cleared out my app data cache - I also reinstalled the launcher from nothing including clearing out all registery additions. So it was super clean to start with.

The launcher redirects you to the Fab store when you click on a product or item within the library.

Is there a vpn or adblocker on your device that prevents redirects or a connection to Fab? Maybe even a bad cookie. Try accessing Fab and your library from within your browser.

Here are instruction for clearing the cache manually. I know you already did it but just in case. Sometimes the launcher holds cached data from another folder or install location. You can have more than one.

It does not redirect - it shows the item for .5 seconds and then gives the error message published above. I am not using a VPN and nothing related to the web browser on my system should be causing issues with the Epic launcher showing me an image or an item that I already purchased. It was been working for years correctly so your response and links aren’t any help. Also if I go to the website version of FAB it only shows about 1/10th of the items I purchased.

They very recently updated the way the launcher shows the products when clicking on them in the library and with Fab.

I had a similar issue with the launcher previously where it would do the same thing. It sort of eventually fixed itself. But for the website to not show all the products in the library is strange.

That sounds like either an account issue or bad cookies. You should probably message Fab support directly.

Hey guys! This was escalated to the devs and they are looking into it. We will let you know as soon as there is any update.

I have and many others have been complaining about these issues with FAB for years. It is a broken pile of ■■■■ and has been. It’s getting better so that is good, and I understand why they wanted to create a new system.

I spent hours close to a day of wasted time clearing cookies and all the steps to see my full library including reporting the bugs many times.

It’s not your fault how annoyed I am with this latest broken version or how the engine has been going downhill for years now. I have been working with Epic tech for decades now and we hit a low point.

The good news is that I don’t rely on FAB or Epic’s system for anything because I lost all confidence in it.
