Hi all,
I’m one of the guys who are (still) having issues with the launcher being stuck at 80%. I ended up downloading one of the QFE’s mentioned in a few of the threads on the subject, and use the “-CPLabel=QFE2” command line to start it up. Even in 4.0.2, the issue is still there, but this seems to bypass that.
My main issue is, my launcher sometimes fails to detect my downloaded marketplace content. There’s that, and I’m not even sure if my marketplace is in sync with the server. My newest project I can download is the Blueprint Office. Is there any way to check the latest marketplace content outside of the launcher? Maybe a schedule of releases so I can keep up with the releases? I’ve especially got my eye on the realistic rendering one, it looks sick!
Please let me know if I’m doing things right!
So can I confirm the issue? Do you have marketplace items already installed that you do not see in the list to the left, or something else?
On the subject on believeing your market place content is out of date, if you send me some logs I can check for you if the content is being correctly downloaded. A screenshot would be nice too I will compare to what you should see
Thanks,
Leigh
That is correct, sometimes it just isn’t there. It says something along the lines of “No content found. Head over to the marketplace to see cool stuff”. Not exactly that, but something along those lines.
Next time it occurs, I’ll take a screenshot for reference. Where can I find the logs for downloaded content?
Ok, logs are all in the same place :). Just zip up the following folder:-
Windows:
C:\Users\USER.NAME\AppData\Local\UnrealEngineLauncher\Saved\Logs
Mac:
/Users/USER.NAME/Documents/UnrealEngineLauncher/Saved/Logs
Alright, here ya go. New error now since yesterday, here’s the screenshot of what I see when I start my launcher with the command line I mentioned earlier.
Although, now I always get this error no matter what.
As you can see on the right, I’ve installed all the demos, but it says they’re “not ready”. And now I can’t even start Unreal!
Here’s the logs folder all zipped up.

EDIT: Since I’m stuck at 80% without the command line, I’m going to try the latest fix by re-downloading the MSI. I’m hoping that would fix this error as well!. I’ll keep you guys updated.
Hi hargavaman,
Can you try logging out and then going into “offline” mode? Not a longterm solution, but it will help narrow down the problem. You should remove the command line at this point, there have been several fixes since QFE2 that have gone on to be released. If you’re getting stuck at 80%, please read this post: [Official] Read this if your Download has stopped around 81% - Getting Started & Setup - Epic Developer Community Forums. Thanks!
