Launcher does not update when a new project is created

At the moment, any project newly created after running UE4 (using 4.8.1) from the Launcher will not show up in the Library as it previously did…at least I’m pretty sure this did not happen a few updates back when 4.7 was the most recent build.

After restarting the launcher, the projects do show up and can be opened directly from the Launcher.

Creating a new project using the Launcher from a Vault entry does update the Library correctly.

  1. Start the Epic Games Launcher.
  2. Switch to the Unreal Engine tab, go to the Library, select 4.8.1 for good measure, and hit Launch.
  3. When the editor is up, create a new project. An empty blueprint project should be fine.
  4. Perhaps make some changes, save the project.
  5. Look back at the Library, where the project is not listed.
  6. Restart Epic Games Launcher.
  7. Look at the Library again, where the project now appears correctly.
