No, not in this scenario AFAIK.
We’ve had some issues with building from source on external drives, and I like to eliminate as many possibilities for cause as possible. I’ll try to reproduce it with latest releases (last updated 4 days ago). Please let me know whether you’re using an external drive, at least.
Okay, I just ran a successful build here using latest Releases build from GitHub and didn’t run into any errors. Just to be sure: did you run Setup.command before running GenerateProjectFiles.command? Which version of Xcode are you using? I tested in 6.1.1.
I believe I was using beta (6.3) instead of release (6.2) but why would 6.3 beta complain?
I’m not sure, we haven’t tested release in 6.3 yet, as far as I know. Can you try this in 6.1 or 6.2?

Xcode 6.3 beta complains, because new version of Clang it contains is even more strict than before. We have these errors fixed in master branch, you can try making same changes to code you have: https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/commit/78e713efd6273ab98ca272a1ce0db50ec1ae4434
