last one hopefully, how would this one stack up to using Unreal engine and editor

This: NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3050 4GB GDDR6 (only 4gb vram!)
Will cause constant complaining about lack of vram, probably even with empty level and no textures.

Because of atrocious amount of vram this laptop MABE be fine for creating some mobile or paper 2d games.

hmm i see, how about this version then? : Dell G15 15.6" FHD 120Hz Gaming Laptop Intel Core i7 16GB Memory NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 1TB SSD Dark Shadow Gray w/ Black Thermal Shelf G5530-7388GRY-PUS - Best Buy

Cannot find amount of vram in this one.

However (IMO) for unreal you need:

if you just coding and not level designer or sole inde dev:

  • 8-10gb vram
  • 16gb ram
  • separate SSD for unreal projects
  • any modern CPU (like max 8-10 years old)

for inde dev or level design:

  • 16gb vram
  • 32gb ram
  • also ssd
  • and modern cpu

For laptops google and see their thermals (ie if they do not overheat). I got really nice asus ROG laptop, and it overheats with unreal after 30min or so. Money wasted.

this has 8GB vram from what i can tell
