Large Animation Mesh import from Maya Freeze

This is the first time I’ve ever asked anything on these forums so if I’m in the wrong place asking the wrong questions - I apologize. But the issue that I’m having is from exporting from Maya to Unreal. I have a mesh with an animation that is quite big (85kb to be exact). I’m exporting it as an FBX file and it goes to 100% imported and then freezes half way into importing the Meshes. I check the task manager it says Unreal is not responding. Surely my file can’t be too big for Unreal to handle in general but it is locking up without importing every time I try it. Should I be importing it as a different file type? That doesn’t seem likely to be the solution.

85kb is quite small, are you sure that’s accurate?
