Hello All!
I am new to ALL THIS so I apologize if this is not the place for this BUT - I am looking to get into developing film(s) and game(s) and am wondering if this laptop I am eyeing up is good enough for blender and UE5? ASUS ProArt Studiobook OLED(H7604)
yes this is not the correct place to ask hardware suggestions.
because there is no objective answer for that. Film project, game project, digital twin project like expressions won’t tell us about your project’s volume.
I am working with Asus Rog Scar 17 and I do digital twin projects for factories. it has 5900HX, 64 GB DDRR4 RAM, RTX 3080 mobile. For my projects, sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad. (I have CAD assemblies with 30K parts in it and I need to import them at runtime)
What is mesh component count ?
lightning conditions ?
Material instructions
texture resolution
triss and polygon count
will you do nDisplay ?
will you use multipass rendering ?
answers of these will be change project to project.
But get at least 64 GB RAM, Samsung 990 or Crucial T700 like nvme with good IOPS (you need cross reading speed not standart read speed for datasmith), Ryzen 9 7000 or Intel 13th gen i9
Thank you very much. I am not aware of any of this stuff lol but I appreciate all your time! I am looking to start out with a $3500-$4000 laptop for now.
Thx again!
