HI guys I am a beginner and want to learn development on UE5 so what would be the best hardware for a laptop?
Same requirements for UE4. Nanite and Lumen are only supported on newerish generation cards however.
So a rtx 3070 equivalent and 8 core CPU is enough?
And also do you know if I should go with AMD or Nvidia as my GPU?
AMD and Nvidia are both well supported. Your specs depend on what kind of games you wish to make. High resolution textures and scene complexity will benefit from more VRam for example. Also one typically uses other programs with UE (Blender, Houdini, Mixer, ect) and that has a memory footprint as well.
