Landscapematerial black spots

Hi Guys,
i ran into a big Problam… I created a Landscape Material with the following setup:

The Blend Type of all Layers are “LB Height Blend”

When there are 3 or more textures intersect, there are black spots:

At this article in the jellow box i found a solution:

but it was not helpful :frowning:

I hope you can help me ^^

What computer are you using? I’ve read that Apple computers have this issue a lot.

Height blending is really awkward to setup. I’ve yet to find a good solution.

First of all, disconnect the normals and try the material again.

Then, set the top most layer in your blend to alpha blend.

Height Blending is fine. But you should always use Alpha Blending for your first layer.

Hope this helps.

Hi guys, i really cant find a good solution… i set the first layer to alpha blend … i did all i can find in the internet for my problem and nothing helps me … if the first layer is set to alpha blend and i paint more then 2 layers on the landscape, the alpha blend layer shows only black. If i paint two layers, all is right.

Try using a different mask for each layers height.
Don’t plug the same mask to two or more layer heights.
Though I don’t see if you already have used different masks for each layer, I’m guessing by the look of wires.

Edit: Whatever it is it’s %90 because of the way you have setup the heights maps. I’m seeing very unnecessary setups.
Try to do a cleaner and more simple setup and it will work. From there expand it to what you already have and you will discover the problem.

Okay guy, i found the problem… in the middle of my fist picture is a texture with 4 hight maps… i forgot the bumpoffset in at the hightmap-texture … now it works fine without LB_Alpha_Blend ^^
