LandscapeGrassType causes floating grass

Ok, so I followed the ue4 documentation exactly to create a LandscapeGrassType but on one particular map its not working correctly. I’ve done the exact same process on a different map and it works perfectly. The grass goes up into the sky and has lines where it doesn’t exist on the landscape. I’ve tried baking my lighting (just in case haha), building the geometry, deleting the layer info, etc. Also once you paint the grass on, painting another layer does not remove the grass meshes.

UPDATE: I just copied my heighmap and started over. I’m saying this landscape is just down for the count.
