Landscape visibility mask has collision in hole

Thats not how you make holes in the landscape. Look up the docs.

Thats the document i followed. That’s how i have it set up. Following the vauge instruction, I created a seperate hole material and applied it to landscape hole material slot in landscape details.

The instructions on Landscape hole material are flawed. I tried following them but having the wording not match up with the pictures throws a wrench in the problem solving.

You have to use the Sculpt Visibility tool to make a hole that affects collision.

And visibility collision view may not be visualizable because its Epic and you see yourself how accurate their stuff is

Thats the tool I’m using. Scuplt visibility tool. It removes the material but not the collision

Try walking in during gameplay - the rendering view may be bugged.

Yes. I have ran into many of Epics flaws. But this is a first for me. I have cut holes in several other Landscape, but never had this problem

I did try it why in Play. I run into an invisible wall where my hole is supposed to be

Ok - that’s slightly more odd.

Look. Best thing you can do is install 4.25/7 whatever, do it there, then migrate that project to 5.

It will save you from chasing your tail to figure out why by either not working - at which point you know its an engine bug and you can report it - or by working, so you can analyze it and figure out what to actually do in the new engine to make more holes.

Otherwise stuff to look at is probably landscape layers (multiple landscapes modifying each other, one without the hole?), or the default setup for the landscape…
