Landscape Spline Resolution


I’m working with a spline layer to deform the landscape, but the resolution of the spline seems to be very low and creates ugly ‘low poly’ result compared to the smoothness of the rest of the landscape.

Here’s a simple example of the issue:

As you can see, there’s plenty of resolution in the landscape to create a smooth surface, but the low resolution of the spline is creating these ugly edges in the deformation.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to increase the interpolation resolution of the spline?


Did you check the details panel for the control point settings?
You should have several options.
Increasing the falloff may also just be enough to have it cut smoothly.

Unless you never need the spline again you probably shouldn’t be doing things this way…

If you make a spline blueprint and place spline points around in persistent + write up a bluetility event to deform and paint you’ll always get better results.
