Landscape Procedural Foliage not updating real - time

Hey guys, I suddenly have this issue with the landscape procedural foliage not being updated real time.

If I open up my Landscape Grass Type and change Grass Density, the engine will update the foliage but if I move at some distance, the foliage in different areas is not being spawned. If I go to another part of the map I need to keep changing grass density for the foliage to kick in. Same happens if I restart the map - initially there is no foliage visible.

I’m 100% sure that everything is okay inside my landscape material. The issue seems to be related to the editor itself, a bug or something. It’s really strange because I never ever experienced something like that before and honestly I don’t have any idea how to tackle that.

I’m on 5.0 by the way. Any clues where to start…?

I will add that strangely for some reason when I placed an additional procedual foliage layer, the new layer works just fine - it places the foliage all around the landscape layer I’ve chosen.

The only difference between them is that the first, problematic one has 12 foliages in the landscape grass type and the second just 3. I’m really confused at this point. I tried to reduce the number of foliages down to 3 as well but that changed nothing - the foliage is still not updating.

Alright, I found the answer. I had one grass node empty in the landscape material and once I connected to it another grass layer, it all works now.

it didn’t occured to me that this may couse a problem so I discovered that by accicent, lol.
