It is possible to use mask on grass, landscape or maybe… a workaround for this ?
I want a perfect round cut of grass around each stone slab. I already tried several things, i tried to work with foliage tool and the grass tool, but it does not give alot of control around the edge. I really don’t know how i can found a solution for this.
Yup… i already tried that… but i ended with living this idea because it take alot of planes of grass to achieve a ‘‘ok’’ look and it’s a pain in the *** placing each plane around each slab :s If i don’t have any solution i think i will reconsidering this idea :S
@Live000, If you are only having grass texture on your landscape, you can set your landscape paint brush to “Pattern” then load a mask like those circles and paint with it. If you have grass meshes on your landscape and you have used landscape grass tool to distribute them, and in case your landscape isn’t big, you can create a top down mask something like what you have posted, with everything being black and circles being white, then subtract the mask from what you’re plugging to the grass node inside your landscape material.
But if you’re doing this for ArchViz then what Deathrey mentioned seems to be the better approach.
