I have been playing around with the Landscape patches based on a height image.
I was wondering if it would be possible to have a custom material assigned to the patch that will follow the patch as you move or scale it. This could be really usefull if you have certain texture or displacement features related to the appearance of the patch that the typical landscape auto material layers couldn’t replicate.
Although the patch material may need to be one of the layers in the auto material…? I’m aware this is not currently achievable, to the best of my knowledge which is limited. Was more wondering if it could be looked at for future engine updates. If enough people considered it useful…
