im not rly sure what im doing wrong here. i have a landscape material i want, but i cant seem to get the material selected for the brush nor choose which layer i want to use or anything?
I see the Layers tab is expanded, but there’s no selectable layers there, or option to add/remove layers. Is it in the Manage Tab at top left, above viewport? Or, in the landscape material (inside the material editor), is “Used in Landscape” checked?
First, you need to assign a material to the landscape, that has blend layers using the material blend layers node.
Second, you need to create layer infos for each of the layers in the material.
Once you’ve done those two things, you can actually paint layers.
There are good youtube tutorials on how to set this up; it’s not that hard, assuming you have a good blend material already constructed (or purchased/downloaded.)
yeah i was using a tutorial but he had an older version of ue4 that just had the material selected in the paint https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9B2p…zfLGG&index=15
was able to figure it out ty
