I use this for testing the actual size on my disk. I just ran a lake, and valley up for demonstration. So it literally only takes a minute for me to import a terrain map, and click auto landscape material. Insert my texturesamples, and Tile to approximate detail, and then save level. Now I can find out a rough approximation of how much data my terrain is going to use as you said (Size on disk.) Without foliage, props, and code. I wasn’t concerned with the fps of your actual terrain non textured. I use this to check my data size. It gives me an almost instant test. I dont have to sit around painting to find out I have 300mb of built data without props.
