Landscape max size

The creation of new landscapes is very much limited to the RAM/VRAM size of your system - some rought values:

  • 8x8km: min 32GB
  • 16x16: min 64 GB
  • 32x32: min 128GB
  • 64x64: min 512GB

This creates a severe bottleneck: While we can work with nearly unlimited large landscapes using partially loaded world partitions, we cannot create them without spending absurd amounts of resources on hardware (and even that is limited - 100x100 km would means more than 1TB of RAM/VRAM…)

Is there any other way to create these lanbdscape sizes - or will that be addresses in future updates - allowing partially loading of landscape tiles from the start?
