I had the Problem, that when i add new layers or change the landscape material, at first it is shown black. To get the Textures work, you have to “rebuild” the landscape tile which turned black or has black spots.
I assume this has something to do with nanite landscape. I hope this works for you guys too!

Hello! Find the LayerBlend node and if you don’t have values for Height for the test, you can set the value to 1. If it works, try connecting this function

I had the same issue in 5.1. I eventually got it working by going to the paint tab and changing the Base material from ‘None’ to ‘Base_LayerInfo’.

If you have this problem, go to landscape Nanite and rebuild data, in my case this happens with multiple layers, and I solve only running rebuild data, in my case on landscape Nanite is enabled.
