Landscape material stops working randomly?

Hello! I don’t understand why my landscape material resets to the default material. It almost seems random, when i change sliders, make small edits or just update the landscape in any way it seems to break. I usually break a few connections, apply, reconnect them and reconnect them again to make it work. But very often it just stays stuck.

  • Shader complexity is not horrible
  • Texture samplers 4/16
  • 650 instructions right now
  • Using around 15 1k textures and 3 4k masks atm
  • Landscape is 4k Gaea2 downscaled with 50% and using nanite
  • Performance is ok but could be better 40 fps, cheap water and weather system in scene.

The Landscape material is like half of the Unreal Sensei landscape material, with modifications. I’ve rebuilt the landscape, tried in different levels on different landscapes. Not using world partition on the landscape since it was bugging out more often with it. Sometimes when it’s default grey I connect ONLY basecolor with a vector 3 and STILL it’s default grey after rebuilding??

I’m not sure what to do, please help if you can! Thankful for all suggestions!
