Landscape Layers not usable

Hi

I have created a landscape and assigned a Lndscape Material Instance to it. Initially, I have created 7 blend layers to paint my landscape. Now, I recognized that I wanted to use another texture and I created an additional blend layer exactly in the same way as the previous blend layers with the new Diffuse- and Normal-Maps. However, when I apply this blend layer to my landscape, the section where I apply it to just remains in the undefined grey/white world color. I expected that when I use a blend layer for the first time as the shaders need to be compiled. However, it doesn’t compile the shaders but just stays that way.

How could I analyze and fix this such that I can use the new texture on the landscape without giving up all the paint work already invested?

You’ve run out of texture memory.

Just click all your textures in the material and then in the details change sampler source from ‘texture asset’ to ‘shared: wrap’.
