Landscape Edit Layers and huge Memory usage

recently I’ve enabled “Edit Layers” on landscape (world partitioned) and I’ve noticed huge increase in “Render Target Memeory 2d” - from 1.6 GB do over 5 GB. Disabling layers returns mamory usage too previous state if level is reloaded.

From my tests I;ve noticed that there is no difference if landscape is partitioned or not. It is huge landscape (8129x8129), so memory usage increase is more visible than on smaller (4017x4017 increased usage from 1.6 gb to 2.5 gb).

Did anyone else noticed such odd behaviour? I’m on Unreal 5.0.1

I have same problem. 16 321 x 16 3210 terrain eats all the memory (16 giga Vram and 32 giga DDR) - probably not usable for huge terrains now…
