Landscape Creation/Import Feature Request

Greetings and salutations Unreal Devs,

This request applies to the process off creating a landscape, either with or without a heightmap, which I’m intending as a feature of Unreal Engine 5.X though it could probably fit with UE4 as well.

Would it be possible to add an actor/mesh asset dropdown control in the landscape creation panel that allows us to select a reference world object that would appear visually at the root of the coordinate system while remaining on the ground at coordinate vector (0,0,Z) and allow us to get an idea of scale for our landscape even while its still in wireframe?

Even if this reference world object is represented as a selection outline only, it would still be immensely helpful when initially creating a landscape for a sense of scale against its recognizable shape, seeing as you can navigate the viewport during landscape creation as you would while editing a map/placing actors etc.

Relatively simple, but an immense time saver. It would also help in setting the scale settings for the tiles during this process.

Submitted for your approval.
