I just got Ue4 Im a noob pleb ok and I was watching a video on how to get started usually i just flip around till I get something going on these type of stuff but I found a problem and I have no idea what to do. In the video the guy creates a landscape. Simple OK he goes to create it, its all default 8x8 and everything but I noticed that his screen actually looked different then mine he can see the grey grid lines no matter what. doesn’t matter the distance or the height if hes looking at the plane that its on he sees the grid. I can not see it at all. So I am moving my camera around and I found that if i want to see it I have to be right above it looking strait down. Well i just didn’t think about it i just moved on and when her created the landscape I seen it was white and had the .png texture the white and grey alternating squares I did some looking and this is just default if you do not assign a texture. (Looked it up on the wiki) so I left the texture blank and decided to create the landscape I wait and I wait and I wait but nothing shows up it was done loading I figured maybe I have to build it. Press build still nothing I look in the world Outliner its still there no idea whats going on. Its there i can select it and move it but its like completlely blank and empty. Any help?
Edit: Messing around I found that if I create whole new completely blank project after restarting ue4 everthing is fixed accept as soon as I create a landscape it goes back to this black empty state. Once I had everthing looking right but after a second or two it went back to blank and black.
Edit Again: Ok as long as I reset Ue4 I can get the landscape and the grid lines to show up like normal. .png looking texture and all. but as soon as I add like not even add as soon as I drag any light source from modes place window and the second my mouse is over the view point it changes to the black blank problem.
