Landscape and City Scaling problems

Hello,

I’m needing a Landscape thats 60Ac sq…658368cm long…For my city BUT…every program I use crashes on that size…What is the best way to solve this issue?

As far as I know you only get 500000 cm in UE4, you can have much more with level streaming, but I haven’t played with it yet. As for the city, I think the best way would be to model individual buildings or maybe blocks and populate your level with them, instead of modeling the entire city as one scene.

The UE4 landscape tools do good? Are is that just for protyping your level?

The landscape tool should do pretty well for that -> already has a good lod system

If you’re talking about creating your terrain then I recommend using a specialized program for that, like World Machine and importing a heightmap into UE4. Make sure your landscape is of a correct size as described here.
