Here is a personal project done with a coworker in our free time. My teammate (Damien Brisson) did the plane with 3ds max and substance Painter. I did the lighting and we worked together on the general composition. All the level assets, exept for the plane, come from the Unreal Kite demo. It’s full dynamic lighting powered by Unreal 4.16 with the brand new volumetric fog system.
Hi man!! Awesome work!!! The light is amazing!
Do you mind sharing some info about your lighting process?
Did you use only Movable lights? Is there a SkyLight (also movable)? No lightmaps? Any Dynamic GI (LPV, DFGI or VXGI)?
Sorry for all those questions, but i am a very curious student
Thanks a lot!!!
Hi, thanks man, for this scene I only used dynamic lighting, directional and skylight are movable. There is no lightmap. I used distance field ambiant occlusion and everything else is post process (GI, color grading … ). There is no other light in the scene. I also used the new volumetric fog to have a realistic feeling on the lighting.
