Laggy realtime scene capture 2d in packaged game

Hi guys,

I’m building a in-game camera-like tool for taking pictures/screenshots in virtual reality. I simply use a scene capture 2d and a render target for accomplishing that.

Everything runs very smooth in the unreal editor. At the point where the game is packed, it really messes up and the framerate drops significantly, even if I use a render-target resolution of 256 and lower.

Do I miss something really basic?
