No additional setup is required beyond configuring a few values in the component's defaults panel and assigning the skeletal mesh to track at Begin Play. One of the reviews was from someone who got banned from the discord for being rude towards others and lashed out, Another was from someone seeking support but they never changed their review after I responded with the fix to their issue, and two other 1 star ratings were from people who had issues with fab on launch and rated the product bad without ever seeking support.
If you buy the product and it does not work for your project needs, I am more than willing to either provide support until your issue is fixed or give you a full refund(whichever you prefer), do not be afraid to try this product because of the 3 star rating people gave it for various reasons.
Thank you for reporting this, you should still be able to setup project settings input events in 5.4 and 5.5. The documentation should have instructions for how to do this.
I got this Plugin to use for our final year project for my masters. I wanted to make a breadcrumb trail for a maze and this was just the perfect plugin to use! It was super easy to set up and allowed me to truly customize the foot print experience for my character!
I was amazed at how versatile it was as I only expected it to mark decals but it also allowed me to mark Niagara effects and even sound for my player giving our sound artist an extra help so they could program material foot sound effects.
I had an unusual use case where the foot steps needed to start in the maze and stop after the maze was complete. The Developer Mir was above and beyond excellent when it came to answering questions and getting me help for my unique dilemma. The advice I got not only helped me further understand how the plugin works and how to use it better but also enriched my understanding of unreal as a game maker. They even went as far to help me out on call to walk me through the solutions to get my end result working as intended. You really can’t ask for a more understanding and friendly plugin support than this!
