Kite Demo doesn't compile after upgrade to 4.22 preview 4

I had kite demo for 4.20 or 4.21 ( I can’t remember ), and while it worked, when I updated to 4.22 preview 4 ( source ), it fails to build the project stating
ParallelExecutor.ExecuteActions: LINK: error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol IMPLEMENT_MODULE_KiteDemoEditor

I already deleted intermediaries,Build,DerivedDataCache and Saved folders. Does this just not work with 4.22 ?

We don’t provide updated sample projects during **Previews; **but they will be made available with the official launch of the new engine versions. Sample projects created with older engine versions may be expected to not automatically work with newer engine versions.
