Kingdom of beauty

Kingdom of beauty

A new series in wish I focus on making environments inspired by Morocco’s Twelve regions, from the Arab-Islamist, Berber [amazigh] and Saharan-Hassanic components, to nourished and enriched by its African, Andalusian, Hebraic and Mediterranean influences.

The first environment take us to the middle of the kingdom, north-central Morocco.

specifically chosen as the start of this series because its my roots " Béni Mellal-Khenifra Region "

Kasbah of Beni Mellal

The Kasbah is located on the top of a mountain next to Ain Asserdoune which provides a view over the city of Beni Mellal. It was first built by the Alaouite Sultan Moulay Ismail to protect the city from invaders.

Hi @Meedz !

Morocco is a place of beauty and wonders, full of rich history and situated at an amazing crossroads to receive influences from so many cultures. The Kasbah of Beni Mellal has a striking view overlooking the region below it. At night, it seems to hover protectively above the city.

I don’t know very much about Beni Mellal’s Kasbah, but considering other centuries-old structures in this region, I can imagine it was a lot more colorful - like in your Kingdom of Beauty. Thank you for sharing your inspired art with us!

There is only one critique. About 6 seconds into your video, the image becomes grainy, out of focus, and hard to see. The last two seconds of the video are back into focus. If you wouldn’t mind considering uploading a clearer video, we could continue enjoying the splendor of your work without interruption.
