Keys don't get overwritten when drag and dropping in Sequencer

When I move keys on the timeline and drop them on other keys, they seem to be merged in a strange way - instead of being overwritten as expected. I’m using snapping and the keys are on top of each other (not just really close)

Is this intended? Is there a setting to disable that and have them behave as expected and overwrite the keys?

I checked in the curve editor and it looks like both keys are kept. This is beyond unintuitive. Is there a way to disable this?

BUT if you use the curve editor, it works as it should in Sequencer. Color me totally confused as to why it isn’t precisely the other way around

Hello,

Unfortunately this is a bug that we’re hoping to improve in the future. You can track the progress of it here:

Good to know, thank you. Are you aware of any workarounds?

Sorry, not really at the moment. The only workaround is the curve editor behavior that does remove duplicates.
