Keyframes Mesh Animation for Fluid Simulations

I’ve read the docs here for Keyframed Mesh Animation in 4.8: Vertex Animation Tool - Key Framed Meshes in Unreal Engine | Unreal Engine 5.2 Documentation

However, its not clear whether this method will work for meshes that have different vertex counts at each frame. Bascially, I am exporting a fluid simulation from Houdini as an obj sequence.
