Hi all. I’m basically an old mapper in Unreal Editor, looking to develop eventually a 2d or 2.5d sidescroller-RPG with lots of cool ingame moves and features. So I’m on an early stage, using 2d vector objects instead of sprites. I should perhaps start from a 3d angle but it’s not too late to change.
I’m using Inkshape to get vector.png files then boning them in Dragonbones. No anims created as yet.
What kind of free software pipeline would you use to end up in UE? Should I start from 3d models? So many questions but this is more a discussion if it gets a few of your answers and I may see the light. Good to be back in UE!
