All i want is a holiday tree with SNOW & SOUND and the snow holiday trees do not have sound, and the only holiday tree with sound doesn’t have snow. so when trying to fix my own issues, i copied the sound component and pasted it on the snow holiday tree instance (which works) but is disallowed!
Next, i tried to copy and paste the snow leaves onto the holiday tree with sound (in the appropriate material slot) and that works but is also DISALLOWED!
we cannot win!
WHY are these actions disallowed?
SOLUTION:
Give us a holiday tree with snow AND sound OR allow us to copy/paste properties and components without getting flagged. like this makes no sense. if i can change a property let it work, otherwise don’t even show me the option or let me change things in the first place. I don’t see how this is abusing any rules. And if there is a good purpose to the rule then please let us know with a warning in the editor. Just like you do for other things like texture data…
