Just cause rope mechanic , drawing two physics actors or ai agrnts together with a spline

Im cirrently working on a system similar to just cause’s rope mechanic that allows players to designate a start, and end point through a ray trace. This should crrate a physics actor that applies a force to both objects (or all the force to one of attached to an immobile surface) however i cant figure out the logic to get the lhysics constant to shorten the distance between connected objects.
