Jumpy Jumptime, A Unreal Engine Based Jump and Run, Puzzle and Platformer Game

Graphic options are essential. I have implemented various options in Jumpy Jumptime and want to show you these with this answer. There is a little fun video with a cannon on top

Compact menu with the essential graphics settings

A graphics menu with the essential settings is a must these days.

Not everyone has access to a high-end computer and can enjoy the game on Ultra settings. The aim is to make Jumpy Jumptime run smoothly even on slightly older computers.

In addition to the general graphics settings, which range from Low to Ultra, you can also display the FPS and activate or deactivate V-Sync.

I also think it’s important to give the player the option of adjusting the field of view. However, I decided against a classic slider. You can choose between 60, 90 and 130 and the reason is because the game can be controlled with the controller, even in the menu:

FOV 60

FOV 90

FOV 130

I have also incorporated the modern bodycam effect. Jumpy Jumptime is not the typical bodycam game, but the player is free to activate or deactivate this effect.

Bodycam OFF / FOV 130

Fisheye Optic ON  / FOV 130

And what’s the deal with the cannon?
Just take a look at the video!

Thank you and see you next time!

Hey Guys!

Soon i can present you new footage from Jumpy Jumptime!
At the moment i´m preparing the Steam Shop Site and with it the Games Website and a Gameplay Trailer, which means the Game needs to have final quality, or almost final quality. (for a good looking trailer)

I have a question:
Do i need to sign something with Epic before i start selling the game on other platforms?
First will be on Steam, then Epic Games Store and then i plan to release it on X-Box and maybe on Switch and Playstation.

Thanks in advance,
Gazu :innocent:

A few months have passed since the last update. Moments in which some people may have thought that I had lost motivation and stopped developing Jumpy Jumptime. Good thing the motivation still holds up and Jumpy Jumptime looks better than ever. The release of my indie game “Jumpy Jumptime” is in the starting blocks. In addition to a number of different images and information, the Steam Shop also requires a gameplay trailer. The trailer is now cut and ready to be presented. I hope you like the trailer. Have fun watching!

Jumpy Jumptimes Gameplay Trailer!

So what´s new? Well…let´s start with the options menu! I´ve added some new functions to the options menu. It is now possible to activate or deactivate Motion Blur and the Lazy Cam function. It also now shows which function is active and which is not. Simple but effective!

The options menu has been expanded with additional settings…

I also worked a little on the lighting mood. The sky and the sun were too blue for a low sun. I corrected the color values accordingly. In my opinion, the level now looks much nicer!

New color values for sun and sky…

The inventory for cosmetic items is brand new! Items found can be displayed and equipped here. So far these are actually normal cosmetic items that have no influence on the gameplay. However, this may change in the future…

In the inventory you can use the items you find to make Jumpys look…

Admittedly…I’ve known Unreal not only since Unreal Engine 4 but since the original Unreal game from 1998. To be more precise, I almost made it into an Unreal Tournament 99 Pro clan as a teenager. It was the time of 56K modems and ISDN lines…
And what special tool was in Unreal Tournament 99? That’s right, the translocator. The translocator allows you to move faster through teleportation and visit places that you would not be able to visit without the translocator.
So I decided to incorporate the translocator from Unreal Tournament into my game Jumpy. After about 3 days the translocator was ready for use and bug-free!

The left mouse button ejects the translocator and the right mouse button teleports to it´s location.

Please don’t forget to subscribe to Jumpy’s YouTube channel and follow on Facebook!
Thanks for reading!

Hey people!
There’s news related to Jumpy again!

The official Jumpy Jumptime website is ready and can now be visited. You can find the website at https://www.jumpygame.com.
What do you think of the design and do you have any feedback?

Thank you! :innocent:

Hey People!
After a major publisher rejected my game with the reason: “Lots of potential, but unfortunately a little too early…”, I decided to offer Jumpy Jumptime as an early access title on itch.io.
After about 3 years of solo development and minor burnout episodes, I now simply need customer feedback to keep me motivated. I’m interested in whether people find my game as great as I do. And if not, why?

Epic please support me!
Thank you very much!

I thought it would be a cool idea to celebrate the early access release of Jumpy Jumptime on the itch IO platform with a new trailer. What do you think of the idea behind it? I actually think it’s pretty cool. Thank you!

Hey guys!
I just want to inform you that Jumpy Jumptime is now available for Wishlisting on Steam!
