We recently captured images from a small square building, where the ‘loop’ was closed. However, the software is failing to recognise that there are four sides to the building. I have followed the online ‘help’, but the system is failing to recognise the ‘loop’.
If I register all images together in one go, I get the same output.
Any ideas or suggestions will be gratefully received!
The ‘wrong’ alignment can be seen in the attached:
If registered separately, the four walls look fine:
you have too little images, especially when you go around the corners you need to take a lot of images and make only small changes to the angle. Do you have the chance to go there again? Also consider to make a close-loop and a second far-loop in around double distance to your object.
Just as maxion correctly mentioned. you should be adding another elevation above this line and shoot a bit more, one line of images meter by meter will mostly not make it.
Thank you so much for this advice. The reasons for taking a relatively small number of pictures were down to some site conditions on the day - both space and ‘social’ (I’ll not bore you with the detail!).
I will try to add control points, and failing this, I’ll take a drive back to site.
