Join server on public IP


Look at this very simple main menu widget blueprint with two buttons “Host” and “Join”.


I can successfully Host the session but when I try to connect to my public IP address, nothing happens.

I was told to open the port 7777. I did, but with no result.

Is there something else I should do? Maybe in the DefaultEngine.ini file or something like that?

Make sure the firewall rules on the host and client allow the game through the firewall.

I checked the firewall and I already allowed Unreal Engine to communicate. For some reason those changes got reset.
