Polker is looking for a Gaming Architect to play a central role in the leadership of the gaming business. You will partner with the Gaming business owner in setting vision, conceptualizing and developing characters, rules, stories, developing technology strategy, and driving execution of that strategy across multiple engineering and R&D teams. Pitching new game ideas to executives, clients and managing multiple teams and projects.
This leader will form strong collaborative partnerships with others like engineering, architecture, and technology leaders within Polker.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the success of Polker, as well as the opportunity to bring your JIRA experience and creativity into the role.
Leadership - Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Project Management - Take responsibility for all aspects of diverse projects.
Collaboration - Work directly with Polker staff members, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.
Coordination - Coordinate with the project partners (internal and external) to ensure all aspects of each of the project components are compatible and achievable and will help to identify resource needs.
Serve as the Gaming Architect on the Gaming Business Leadership Team.
Develop and define gaming technology strategy and drive its execution across multiple engineering platforms (gaming) and R&D teams.
Anticipate opportunities to leverage Polker platform technologies that extend existing offerings and lead to the development of new offerings in the Gaming space.
Help define offerings for gaming that comprise multiple products and ensure technical consistency across those products’ roadmaps.
This position is managerial and will work with all levels of Senior Management. The Game Architect will work with a certain level of autonomy in collaboration with the CTO, Chief of Gaming, and all operational personnel and Information Systems.
Who You Are:
Adaptable - Comfortable with a complex, fast-paced, and varying work environment.
Knowledgeable - Knowledge of JIRA, Unreal Engine 4, Python, JAVA, GitHub, C++, and experience using these platforms/languages.
Collaborative - Superb interpersonal effectiveness; able to work with a team towards the accomplishment of a goal and have critical conversations.
Focused - Able to quickly and concisely understand and synthesize goals and needs for a wide variety of specialized projects with a strong collaborative nature and internal customer orientation.
Experienced - 3+ years of experience in all aspects of Project Management including Business Analysis and Change Management using JIRA, workflow management within JIRA, sprints, scrum, and AGILE methodologies.

The base salary range provided at the top of this page represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position for someone living in Washington, D.C. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors that are included but not limited to experience, performance, location, and education. The range listed is just one component of Polker’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include (but are not guaranteed to be) cash bonuses, PKR bonuses, and region-specific benefits.
