JESUS F....... CHRIST !!!!!!!!!!!

Hi

third unreal project I work on and as I package it for windows it gives tons of errors out of thin air

  • projects are running perfectly fine in the editor

  • no idea how to fix these errors (google does not help much)

  • oh yeah… they steal 15% of your income if you publish on steam

is UE5 doing the same, cos I am god f@#king sick and tired of unreal

thanks

You have a very non descriptive title and you haven’t shown a single one of the errors you are describing. Help us help you.

I am no magician either

The error says very clearly what’s going wrong. You’re trying to package up something called the ImpostorBaker, into your shipping game.
It sounds very much to me like this is an editor tool, which shouldn’t be marked as included for shipping/packaging.

I dont even know what is a ImpostorBaker… nor where is it located nor where does it come from

Well, it’s not part of the standard or empty project templates, so it must have come from some additional content or plugin you have downloaded or purchased or installed or enabled.

Try this:

  1. Create New Project
  2. Choose First Person Template
  3. Save the default level
  4. Choose “package → Windows”

Does this also generate the error? If it does, then something has been installed/mutated in your engine installation. If this works, then the problem is in your project setup.

sure it doesn’t

that piece of s… is not even installed

installed the pluggin
deleted build/temp folders
rebuilt the project…same bloody ■■■■

this is just insane

so for the poor souls ending up with the same issues

  • search for __WorldContext in all blueprints and remove them
  • if you use MegaCraps, you definitely need to install that ImpostorBaker plugin

why ? lol becos otherwise it’s not funny
