Simple Method

A solution that uses a single float value (0–100) to blend between:

  • Base State (normal view)

  • Final State (your configured max-intensity effect)

Great for:

  • Fear meter

  • Damage intensities

  • Adrenaline effects

  • “Sanity” systems

  • Anything where you only need one blend

Very easy to configure.

State Method

A DataTable-driven system offering full control over multiple states.

Each state can define:

  • Post Process values

  • Ambience loop

  • Transition SFX

The system will smoothly blend from one state to the next with zero popping, even if you skip multiple states at once.

Perfect for:

  • Fear / sanity tiers

  • Stress levels

  • Weather transition effects (sunny vibes -> rainy vibes)

  • Infection stages

Set Events on Different States

Every state in the State Method can trigger gameplay events.

Included example:

  • Adrenalined State: increases the player’s movement speed while the state is active.

Other possible uses (not included):

  • Infected State: gradually decrease player health over time

  • Panic State: reduce weapon accuracy

  • Focused State: Increase weapon accuracy, 2x damage, etc...

  • Injured State: Unable to run; bleeding (decrease health)

  • Enraged State: 2x damage, increased speed, etc...
