JamyzGenius - Candle Holders JFG V2

CANDLE HOLDER JFG V2 - UPDATE REV 2025

Unreal Engine 4 and 5 packs are now available here in FAB! You get support from UE4.26 until latest UE5 version as of today 12/17/2025.

I may eventually upload more cool Unreal Engine 4 and 5 renders here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/kDywQz

There are some extra props I made for the Unreal Scene so the candles can have a proper demo room. For these I made a sword with some variation, a book, a shield, some arch. meshes, a medieval-like-inspired door, a chandelier and some other stuff. Check it out, some shots have the demo room now.

CHECK THE 3D VIEWERS TO SEE NEW MESHES TOO. LOTS OF INFO IN THERE too beyond screenshots. Note: The BIG 3D viewer may not have roughness and metalness textures. But made them to look as close as possible to source. Uses 2K textures, wait a little bit to load. For better look check the smaller 3D viewer. It has proper set-up. Thanks! - The old 2021 Sketchfab migration viewer for V1 is still up at the last couple of images if needed for reference. It may be gone eventually.

FOR BEST PACK CONTENTS PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE ADDITIONAL FILES.

  • You will get access to best set-up scenes and files for FBX and BLEND.

  • You will also get the Optional Texture Resolution Exports. I included exports for everything [not the old 2021 v1 stuff, that is as is] new from 128, 256, 512, 1024 and 4096. By default this pack uses 2K or 2048x2048 resolution textures.

As for GLTF, GLB and USDZ support. I cannot guarantee these models may work out great. I am providing the .BLEND so you can export to any format you like as long as it is supported.

For this update I decided to revise the old V1 contents while adding new stuff. Now marked as V1 REV 2025.

  • Added some candle holders that I had been doing over the years on and off. There are five sections.

  • V2 - Batch 1 - Unique sculpted and textured props baked high to low. Use 1x PBR set each.

  • V2 - Batch 2 - Some new holders small and tall

  • V2 - TRIM based - Uses the same method as V1 but this time with a trim only. All models in this section vary in topology but share the same 1x PBR texture set.

  • Old V1 LEGACY still available too but that is as is. I left it in-case you liked the old version. But I strongly suggest using the new V1 REV 2025 since I fixed shading, re-baked the models and revised texturing. They look so much better now as they should.

  • For the REV 2025 there are two variations for the candle colors. Default one and a darker one. You can control the lighting via emissive or deactivate it via material instances.

Now the candles have VFX too.

  • A basic VFX that simulates a flame. There are two versions an expensive marked one with a light cast module that pulsates light and looks very nice. But it can be quite intensive so use sparingly. If using in UE5 only use a few or use with Megalights. The other one is marked as "Performance" one and it doesn't have the light cast module so it is just the basic VFX render with no light. It is quite light and makes the same effect as the expensive one.

Check out the 3D viewers and my renders in my ArtStation portfolio. They should be live around this week or so. I will be uploading there some renders of the props in Unreal too.

For the Unreal package.

The pack includes material instances same as my other packs.

  • You can change color too of the VFX via the material instance. Change glow color, mesh colors. Sliders like normal map power, roughness, metalness, etc. so you can customize the models as you like.

  • Texture usage and more about instances: 50 MIs. 1 VFX from there. Basic parameters, color change. Normal map power. Emissive mask on and off, glow color, roughness, metalness power, etc. Basic customizable things.

Number of Textures for UE packed: 139. Most for the scene decoration props and scene arch. itself. Some candle holders re-use same textures. V2 batch 1 is the most unique pbr set. Uses 18. Batch 2 9. Trims 3. V1 REV 2025 uses 14. Some extra props like the detailed book may use 13 or the sword 15 with its blade variation. For candles there is heavy re-usage of textures.

UE4 will focus mostly for light baked scenes. UE5 will use dynamic lighting. There will be some extra illumination demo scenes in UE5.

  • UE5.6 upwards will use megalights in some scenes. Several scenes from UE5.0 to 5.5 optimized to do the best to avoid shadow overflow, etc. If you have some issues there and want to use these demo rooms just disable shadow cast on some shadows, reduce radius or bake the lights instead.

Make sure if you use UE5 dynamic lights to be sure you can run UE5 tech.

  • My rig is RTX 3080, Ryzen 5900x, 128gb ram. Windows 11. It is the rig I used to make this pack. But yes the dynamic light demo rooms in UE5 may be quite taxing. Megalights helps a lot in UE5.6 to UE5.7. Some lights in the demo rooms do not have shadow cast and so on. Overall it should run alright if you have the same rig. If you want the best performance I would stick to light baking.

Most props or complex props have custom lightmaps made from Blender. So, you can do light baking if you need to do that instead for better performance.

For polycount and UVs.

  • Polycount increased in some instances for higher detail meshes. Most candle holders still remain around low-poly but some may enter mid poly range, etc. Some models will have overlapping UVs since they are textured trim-like or added faces here and there for separated parts.

  • Some models may include joined one mesh versions with lightmaps and also extra separated parts. Some may work out in-case you want to do your own designs or kit-bash like fun.

In average most unique candles are lowpoly to mid-poly. But this update I did not made thinking on making something exclusive lowpoly. I took some freedoms with topology and raised the count since I was going to make the scenes in UE5 too.

  • The ones that have overlapping UVs added geometry for trim texturing. They can go up to around 8.5k or so. In average most simple meshes are below 1.5k or so.

  • Complex candles can go around again 8.5k.

  • Decorative new meshes for the scene are mid to high poly. The dual door is about 28k verts. Chandelier assembled with all the parts can go to about 27k tris and 41.6k verts which is about the max. polycount of the pack but that is really pushing it.

  • Some dual doors have about 10k verts and tris. The default door though is just front-one. Included these dual doors, duplicated and welded. Normals checked. - As extras in-case the doors wanted to be used double sided for your own scenes. For my scene I just needed the front part so made that as the default one which uses basically half of that polycount. More info in the big 3D viewer and so. You can inspect the 3D models there and their topology, textures, etc.

I had this update long due and finally it is here. Thank you so much for buying if you did before this update. I hope you enjoy the update.

As for pricing. I will eventually raise the price of this pack later on to reflect new pack contents.
