Hello, I published a capture point map but I soon discovered that when players join an already started match the item granter doesn’t work for them and they have to play without guns. I’m struggling so much and I still don’t understand what the problem could be. The map is a 25 vs 25 for 2 squads, please if anybody knows the correct number of devices to use and the settings to fix this problem help me, I’ll be so gratefull. thank you so much!
If your players get the weapons granted when they first spawn in, you could use a Class Designer instead and set a default class.
Otherwise how have you set up the item granters.
Thank you for your reply, I just need one loot that every player in the map should have granted at every moment of his entrance in the match. I never used a class designer but for what I saw it doesn’t give you any weapon if you don’t choose it from the interface or if you don’t step on a device. If you have any precise advise to give, please help. Thank you so much!
I’d recommend a Class Designer in this case then,
In Island settings make the Default Class as Class Slot 1, then players automatically become this class on entering map. So theres no need for a device to make them this class.
Drop in a Class Designer Device somewhere and set it to Class Slot 1
Add Weapons and Items into the Item array, to give the players what gear they spawn with.
Check through all the settings and set them to what you need, they are pretty much the same as the player options in Island Settings (Class Designer settings will override Island Settings).
Disable the item granters and you should be good to go.
Possibly in your next project when you get familiar with class designers you can set up a few and have something like a Soldier Class, a Medic Class, a Heavy Weapons class etc and configure thier item & settings to suit like movement speed, health, glider redeploy etc etc
